A vision of me, a haunting fright
I glance at the window, a leap to take flight
A strange entity, a terrifying sight

A mask in the darkness, a frozen stare
I scream for help, but no one's there
Floating in mid-air, a feeling of despair
Trapped in this nightmare, beyond compare

Heart pounding, breath quickening
Trying to wake, but I'm still sinking
Lost in this dream, forever thinking
Of the masked figure, endlessly blinking

I'm wide awake now, the terror has ceased
But the image remains, a haunting release
